Day 7; CDT 5; Grand Teton NP to Atlantic City, WY

We started the day at 7:40 AM. The morning was cool, but the day quickly warmed up and we had a great day of riding. We traveled 257 miles today, hit a peak elevation of 9,617, and arrived at our BLM campsite in Atlantic City at 5:10 PM.

We rode through some beautiful terrain today (I say that every day, right?). The terrain started as very green and lush forest land of Grand Teton National Park and moved to the high desert where miles and miles of scrub brush and little water was the mainstay.

The highlights of the day were: Seeing several Prong Horn, Grand Teton National Park, Cows on the road, Sheep and the a Sheep dog that was herding the sheep, found a stray Border Collie, met a hiker doing the route and who started in Mexico, lunch in Pinedale, WY, saw our 29th mountain biker who was doing the route, met the owner of the restaurant/bar in Atlantic City who grew up in Livermore and knew Sue Frey (friend) from childhood (small world), and had NO flat tires :)

The following are pictures from the day.
